RSA CEO Rohit Ghai: 'Disruptions Catalyze Transformation'

Channel 'Disruptive Forces at Play' to Drive Essential Cybersecurity Changes
Rohit Ghai, CEO, RSA

With the ongoing pandemic driving digital transformation and hybrid work, it's no surprise that the theme of this year's RSA Conference was "transform." Carrying forward that theme, RSA CEO Rohit Ghai says that channeling "disruptive forces at play" can be a powerful tool for driving needed changes.

At the same time, he also celebrated the return of the conference as an in-person event in San Francisco, at which so many cybersecurity professionals saw many of their peers for the first time in over two years. "The three-dimensional world is so much better than the two-dimensional world," Ghai says. "It's just meeting people in the hallways, the spontaneity of the conversations - there's just no substitute for it."

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2022, Ghai also discusses:

  • How RSA Conference has transformed, becoming an independent and stand-alone business that is no longer part of the RSA security company;
  • The RSA security company's new focus on being an identity business and spinning out its other competencies as stand-alone brands;
  • The constants and imperatives that underlie transformation and the dogmas that must be debunked.

In addition to serving as CEO for the SecurID and NetWitness businesses, he provides oversight to the Archer and Outseer businesses as a member of the board of directors for RSA. He regularly advises global customers on their digital and security transformation initiatives and is often cited in broadcast and print media on topics such as data privacy, content management, information governance, digital risk and cybersecurity. Previously, he served as president of Dell EMC's Enterprise Content Division and held a variety of senior engineering and general management roles at Symantec.
