RIck Doten, vice president of information security at Centene Corp. and CISO of Carolina Complete Health, joined the panel to share his RSA presentation on neurodiversity in cybersecurity - a way for security teams to hire staff among candidates that are good at "pattern matching, system design and work well under pressure." RSA sessions also focused on mental health and preventing burnout.
"Mental health is such an important thing to help prevent the burnout, and part of it is being hyper-focused and wanting to solve a problem and not letting go can lead to that," Doten said.
The panelists - Doten; Anna Delaney, director of productions; Mathew Schwartz, executive editor, DataBreachToday and Europe; and Rahul Neel Mani, vice president of community and editorial - also discussed:
- Major AI-based product announcements: Palo Alto Networks' Precision AI, Microsoft's Defender for Cloud, and Google Threat Intelligence's Gemini 1.5 Pro;
- The increased focus on securing operational technologies to protect critical infrastructure against nation-state threats - and getting the basics right;
- The spirit of collaboration and sharing of ideas at the annual conference.
