AI-powered automation has become essential for managing these diverse security requirements efficiently while maintaining network resilience.
"What is important with the network is to leverage AI for automation as much as possible, calling it autonomous networks that will recognize this equipment, make sure you secure them and put in place the right configuration automatically to avoid the human error as well," said Philippe Bletterie, vice president of strategic verticals and partnerships at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.
With new cybersecurity regulations such as NIS2, organizations must think beyond technical solutions and dedicate resources for cybersecurity, Bletterie said. Companies will have to demonstrate their ability to respond to security incidents within 24 to 48 hours through dedicated product security incident response teams.
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at the GovWare Conference and Exhibition 2024, Bletterie also discussed:
- The importance of adopting zero trust architecture for secure communications and service segmentation;
- Challenges organizations face while implementing security standards such as NIST;
- Industry-specific security requirements for sectors such as healthcare and education.
At Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, Bletterie is responsible for the company's go to market, value propositions, and strategic and specialized partnerships for the government and defense, healthcare, education, transport, energy and utilities sectors. He is also in charge of the business strategy governance.
